Top notch stuff!

March 03, 2016
I think these are going to work out fine with my 1968 IHC Scout buckets in my new hot rod. One of them had a sliding mechanism, but it was old and decrepit. These look well designed and are sure to be a plus.
No, I would not recommend this product.

MEH could have been a little better

March 02, 2016
Purchased 2 pair at a GREAT price. Delivery was very prompt and packaging was good. Opened up and inspected rails and all parts were complete and undamaged. Rails are used in a set of custom made seats that did not have any old slide rails. The New rails that were purchased did not come with any instructions or information at all. It was very difficult to figure out how to set these up. (especially for a noob) Over all I am satisfied with the quality of this product, and plan on purchasing 2 more for a friend's build.
Pros:
  • Simple And Easy To Use
  • Sturdy Construction
Cons:
  • No Instructions Or Inform
Yes, I recommend this product.

I would buy the universal seat sliders again

December 23, 2015
Installed the sliders in a Anglia and they worked well with the seats used. Had to install some spacers between the sliders and the box tubing mounted at floor level in order for them to work. The seat adjusters rubbed on the carpet and did not allow the seats to slide smoothly. Getting the seats a tad higher allowed for some storage underneath both seats.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Worked Perfect for Jeep CJ Seat - No Drilling!

November 25, 2015
Was looking for a seat slide/glide for a Jeep CJ8. Ran across these and they were a perfect fit and the cheapest online price that I could find. The mounting holes aligned perfect with seat bottom. The slides mounting bolts appeared to be off relative to the seat supports, but with a little C-Clamp action was able to pull these in and bolts fell right into place. The connecting cable/wire was too short for the width of my seat. But, not a big deal, used a clothes hanger and all is good! Was able to mount onto seat, and seat back in the car in less then 30 minutes.
Pros:
  • Easy Bolt-on Application
  • No Drilling Required
Cons:
  • Cable Length Too Short
Yes, I recommend this product.

Seat Sliders

May 08, 2015
the connector wire for between the two slides is not easy to adjust to different widths but heck it is just wire, they have about 7" of travel, looks like they might be a little weak at the extreme ends of the travel for heavy people. I limited mine to about 5" which should be plenty, all in all pretty decent and fit well on my fiberglass bucket seats.
Yes, I recommend this product.

The universal seat sliders is 7/8" tall or thick not including the foot pads/ leveling screws. The overall length is 12-1/2" and overall width is 3-1/4". Center line of holes is 11-1/2". These sliders have 7" of adjustment.

Sure! The floorpan/mounting bolts are nice and long, and are pre-fit into the sliders. I believe they are 3/8", about 1.25" in length.

The seat sliders number 91070026 could be mounted to the seat and then to the floor via the studs on the sliders. You will need to verify the seat sliders are level with each other and clear of any obstacles hindering movement. In some applications shimming may be required.

Sold in pairs? Do you mean, as a set for one seat? I need to mount two seats, so do I need to purchase two PAIR? I would think they should be in Sets( right side of ONE seat, and left side for the same seat.) Sold in PAIRS makes it sound like you get enough hardware for two seats.

The universal seat slider is dols in pairs and 1 pair will do 1 seat. You will need to order two pairs to do two seats. Sorry for the confusion.

These seat sliders are specific to the mount plates and risers we offer. For use on a custom application with different mount stance it would be up to the builder or customer to make a different cable/connecting link for the release. The link is NOT available is custom lengths from the manufacturer.

These seat sliders mount directly to the seat mount plates number 91070027 and for the riser part number 91070025 if needed. To use on a wider stance than a single seat is possible but the cable/wire link that connects from one side to the other would require lengthening to the appropriate length for the custom application. This is what releases both sides at the same time for sliding forward or back.

Yes, the locking mechanism is on both slides. The distance apart might require you to fabricate a longer rod between each unit as it's made for bucket seats, but could be adapted for a bench seat.

Yes, both sliders lock into place

This question was asked, but not directly answered. If the seat was mounted to the floor solid and I added the seat rails so the seat would move, how much higher would the seat be than mounted to the floor? How much space (verticle) is used to mount the rails? How much is needed? That is the most asked question. I have a GTM Supercar that is VERY low. I need head room but can give up a little for the rails. Thank you, Scott, So. Cal.

The overall thickness of these rails without the mounting studs is 7/8". There are so many variables when it comes to mounting these in custom applications it becomes very difficult on our end to answer this type of question. Certain seats have more room than others when it comes to mounting these. If you want to try them and they don't suit your needs we are able to accept a return.
