Return PolicyWith a mounting bolt pattern of 14-1/4-inches x 18-inches center-to-center the Universal Seat Mount will fit most any floor, though modification or fabrication may be required. Order a pair of these and update your classic ’40s or ’50s bench seat ride to a pair of buckets, providing more support and comfort and room to add a center console!
Of course, if your ride’s floor is not totally flat a little cutting and welding will allow our Universal Seat Mount’s steel tube frame to conform to just about anything. Shorten the legs or lengthen the legs as needed to get just the right seat position you are looking for.
You will need your own seat mount attaching hardware to mount the Universal Seat Mount frame to your floor. If you are looking for universal seat brackets and sliders to mount your aftermarket bucket seats we have what you need available separately.
Our Universal Seat Mount is built from 1-inch OD round tube steel with .813-inch OD cross bars for strength and support. These universal bucket seat frame mount brackets are 5 inches tall and are designed for early hot rods and pickup trucks with a flat floor pan area, unlike later cars of the ’60s and ’70s that utilized welded-in-place automotive seat risers. If your vehicle’s floor is not completely flat the frame can be easily cut and modified/welded to fit your exact needs.
Designed to work with our universal bucket seat slider tracks and seat mounting plates (NOT INCLUDED), our Universal Seat Mount can easily be modified to work with most any seat slider design to mount aftermarket bucket seats in your early hot rod or pickup. Our seat mount simply requires a flat floor pan to mount and four holes to be drilled and you are in business.

Great product...can be modified!!!
I was replacing a bench seat in a 1977 Ford Maverick 2 door with bucket seats from 1968 Mustang. Original seat sliders for Mavericks are not to be found! I bought two of these universal seat mounts. I cut off the mounting tabs and then started cutting down the round tube steel until they were at the position that I felt were a nice fit. Re-welded the mounting tabs back on...then installed them after purchasing the sliders and mounting plates that Speedway Motors also sells. Overall very happy with the way they turned out.

I would but you need an explanation!
I only rate it at a 3 because you don't explain that the bucket seats also need the Universal Seat Mount Plates to mount the seat because the frame mounts don't match up to the seats. That way you don't pay double shipping charges like I had too!

Being able to weld and fabricate made these the perfect base for my install. The end result for the first one is great. Yet to do the second, but it will come out the same.
