For years it seemed like installing a 289-302-351W Ford in your street rod was a far bigger challenge than using a small-block Chevy. One significant problem was finding compact headers. Well, problem solved! These tight-fit headers are designed to hug tight against your small block Ford V8 and can make seemingly impossible installations much easier to tackle.
For factory style oval port heads. Will work with GT40P heads. Headers are available in plain steel, Chrome, or Armor Hot Coat finish.
Warning: See NOTES tab for important install information.
Note: Works best with Motor mounts listed.
930-0201 Instructions (PDF)
- Durable and attractive Armor Hot Coating inside and out
- Fits where other small-block Ford headers won’t
- Includes 2.5" reducers, gaskets and bolts
Armor Hot Coating (AHC) is a heat resistant, ceramic coating applied to the outside of the header. This coating will reflect heat, which helps retain more heat within the header tube while simultaneously speeding up the exhaust flow. Not only will this coating help you make more horsepower, it also keeps your headers rust-free, looking great, and lasting longer (when properly maintained). If you are looking for a show-quality finish for your headers, this is it! Our AHC will withstand exhaust temperatures of up to 1300˚ F.
- Must be used with our 910-67210 mini starter (at right) or equivalent compact starter.
- Due to variations on motor mounts, we recommend motor mounts 270-2221 Left and 270-2220 Right (at right) , or equivalent. Left mount may need to be ground by 1/4” to provide clearance for collector.
- Chrome headers are polished before and after assembly for show quality appearance.
- Designed to fit engines with forward sump oil pans.
Due to variations in manufacturing and the unlimited engine/chassis combos,
all dimensions, applications and measurements are approximations only!
AHC Warning: AHC coatings will burn and be damaged at exhaust temperatures over 1300 degrees. A lean fuel mixture can generate exhaust temperatures exceeding 1700-1900 degrees. If the coating is damaged due to a lean condition, the coating will not be warranted, but can be recoated for a fee.
Chrome Warning: Due to a revised chroming process brought on by recent EPA regulations and high labor costs, today's chrome is not the quality of days gone by. Be Aware: Exhaust components which are chrome plated are now much more susceptible to blueing, blistering, peeling & corrosion. No warranty or returns on chrome exhaust items once them have been installed.
Not legal for sale or use in California on pollution controlled vehicles
