What's in the Box

For early autos not equipped with right and left turn signals. Chrome plated finish. Switch works with 6 or 12 volt systems. Includes wiring diagram. Clamps to any steering column with included stainless hose clamp. Switch has four-way flashers and does not self cancel.

You will need to purchase a three-prong flasher to use with this switch (part number 910-64046 or install kit 91062861). For LED light applications, you will also need a LED dummy load resistor (part number 910-03030).

BIG AND CLUNKY

October 24, 2014
This thing is huge! I wanted a switch for my dune buggy,it was so big that it stuck out beyond the side of the buggy from the steering column. I have seen smaller shifters than this thing. It should be pictured next to something to reference the size, like the Empire State Building or something. IT'S HUGE!!!
Pros:
  • nice for a dump truck
Cons:
  • it's the size of a small child
No, I would not recommend this product.

Product is perfectly functional, but lacks in finish quality. Chrome housing has a poor finish. Item also differed from the picture in the catalog. The lever was of a different style ( I preferred the one pictured ). For these reasons I returned it.
Cons:
  • style difference
  • housing finish
Yes, I recommend this product.

Good quality casting, feels solid, lever works smoothly. The wiring diagram was very good. Was a quick and easy replacement for my 30 year old switch that I just plain wore out. The 4-way flasher knob works nice. Had it installed and working perfectly in a couple of hours. It should last another 30 years.
Pros:
  • Easy To Install
Yes, I recommend this product.

Mating 20 circuit harness, HD T Signal switch and Three prong flasher? This is sort of a follow up to a previous question. I have your 910-64027 20 circuit harness, 910-62860 HD Turn signal switch, and 910-64046 Triton three prong flasher. I wired it following your recommendations, listed above. Do I need to do anything to the existing wiring in the fuse block or is the wiring ready to go now?? It seems it would be a separate turn signal circuit with it's own fused power now, but thought I should check.

If we sent you the additional instructions for combining the harness and the HD turn signal switch and that has been completed you should be set to go.

Connecting 910-62860 switch to 910-64027 Speedway Harness I wish to use this switch with your 20 circuit Harness(910-64027). I see a similar question was asked and I have checked, the three prong flasher will fit one corner of the new wire block. Exactly which wires do I match to which-in the "GM STYLE" column plug supplied with the harness? Or, should I just clip that off and start from scratch? If so, what if any extra wires must I feed to the turn switch from this harness block?

The three prong flasher with the prongs facing to you the terminals are L, P, and X with P being at the top. The X terminal is hot all the time and fused, the P is the indicator lights, and the L is the lights. Insert the flasher so that the black wire is L, Blue wire is P, and of course X as the battery. I have included a file that matches the switch colors with the column terminals.

The fuse block can not be used as it comes with a 2 prong flasher. If you pick up a three prong flasher and the design of the fuse block allows installation with the third terminal hanging outside the plastic you can configure the wires so that the blue goes to the P terminal which serves the turn signal portion of the switch, the black wire serves the four way function on the L terminal and power fused goes to the X terminal.

Part # 91062860 This could be wired in as a replacement for an OEM switch. It requires a 3 prong flasher which if not used on your existing system could be wired in using the two terminals on your existing flasher connections and an extra lead for power by using our pigtail number 91064601. On our website we offer a pdf instruction file that can be viewed prior to ordering for any additional concerns

Part number 91062860 This turn signal switch is designed to function in conjunction with a brake light switch. One wire which runs to left front, one to right front, and one to each right and left rear light. The brake light switch runs through the turn signal switch to energize both rear light filaments or a series if so desired. Turning on the signal switch to the left will put power to one lead to the left front and also to the left rear that also serves as the brake light. The signal switch running through the flasher will cycle the current to the left rear and the left front. If the brake is on at the same time it still cycles the current flow. Same scenario for the right side. The turn signal switch will NOT function to control the park, running lights, or tail lights as this would be controlled by a separate light switch.

For a replacement bulb you may want to check with an electronics store such as Radio Shack or Team Electronics. Some of the larger Napa, Carquest, Auto Zone, etc. may also be a possibility.
