Growing up in automotive racing has played an important role in Chad Wehrs life, you might think it is the cars, but it’s really the need to fix them. From steel chassis design, brakes and custom metal fabrication there was never any doubt where he needed to be. Before Wehrs Machine was established as a full fledged company, it was a father and son in dad’s machine shop.Today he is pushing his talents by continuing to produce parts for hot rods, along with special projects. Wehrs is continuing his family traditions by producing parts for the automotive market with unique designs that are sure to impress. In June of 1997 he started Wehrs Machine in the same building where his Grandpa and his brother started the Chevy garage in 1935. Eventually, with no prior machine shop experience, he worked with several family friends who taught him the skills he needed to build parts for race cars.
