Easily Adapt the CT525 LS Racing Engine to Your Circle Track Race Car’s Driveline
When updating your racing program to run GM’s CT525 crate engine in a sealed engine race series that requires it, you not only have to work through updates like engine mounting and headers, but also how to connect your new GM crate engine to your existing driveline. The LS series of engines not only uses a different bolt pattern and metric hardware, but the crankshaft’s offset to bellhousing mounting surface of the block is different as well, creating fitment/length issues with your crankshaft flange and spline drive coupler/U-joint that necessitates an LS crank spacer.
Fitting a LS crank spacer adapter allows the direct attachment of your standard SBC drive flange and coupler/U-joint to your new CT525 engine. It will work with our aluminum and chromoly drive flange yoke, as well as our aluminum ball spline yoke, and many others. Machined from steel and cadmium plated to resist rusting, the adapter is drilled for the LS crankshaft pattern and includes specially machined 11mm crankshaft bolts for mounting. The threaded holes use the standard small block Chevy bolt pattern, allowing your current yoke or drive flange adapter to easily mount up to your new CT525 engine.
