Compact all-in-one valve

This part offers a super value and simplification to plumbing your brake lines. No need for combination valve that may not be the best choice for your car or truck. With this, you dial in your brake bias for your exact combination, also simplifies rigging your brake light switch. Anybody looking to optimize their braking system should have one of these. All of the benefits of this valve make it a bargain.

Wilwood Adjustable Proportioning Block 260-11179

Called tech support at Wilwood and they suggested that the case be grounded to make the brake light switch work. That did not change anything. Changed the switch and that did not help. Changed the proportioning valve with a new switch and that did not work either. Ended up adding a mechanical brake light switch and that worked. Speedway Customer Service was great and offered the return of the block and shipped out a replacement. Still do not know why the switch on the proportioning block did not work for me. Maybe it needed a higher pressure to activate the switch?

When bleeding the rear brakes should the prop valve be set for least pressure (all the way out, fully counter-clockwise) or most pressure (all the way in, fully clockwise)? does it even matter?

BLEEDING/PROPORTIONING VALVE 1965 Falcon Gasser.I've bought the straight axle kit(not whilwood calipers)weld on rear disc brake set up 9 inch Ford rearend. The proportioning valve 260-11179 and master cylinder #10-1518.I can't get hardly any pedal. When I mounted the proportionig valve next to the mastercylinder, the lines that come out the side of the master and goes to the top of the prop valve. When I bent the 2 lines from the master to the prop valve they come up alomg the side of the master meaning the bent lines are tthe same levell as the master. Is that my problem?Do the lines to prop need to be lower then the master?

Are drum/disc residual pressure valves needed with a 'standard' muscle car application? For example, with the master cylinder located in the stock location in the enginer compartment? Car has disc front, drum rear.
