The emergency brake functions as a drum brake hidden within the mounting hat of the rotor for a clean installation. E-brake cables sold separately. Caliper has a 1/8" npt inlet.

Our rotors are machined and fully e-coated, just like the rotor hats. This is a protectant coating the prohibits surface rust from forming on the exposed surfaces. Once the parts are installed and being bedded in, the brake pad friction and caliper pressure will remove the coating at the spot the brake pads touch. This will expose the silver iron material underneath.

Bought this brake kit with emergency brake because an emergency brake is always a good thing. And because Pennsylvania requires it in a street rod. My 9inch ford has a 2 1/2" offset and, I double checked it.... Put it all together all went easy and smooth. Last piece i tried installing was the caliper. And it rubs the outside of rotor. There is a spacer under the caliper bracket held on by 3 bolts. I removed it and had 1/8" shaved off of it. Then with using the spacers provided with the kit i got the caliper lined up where it should be. Rotor right in the center. Thanks Speedway and Wilwood Disc Brakes.
