Wilwood 140-16801 Classic Series Front Brakes, D11, 65-67 Mustang

Wilwood's Classic Series D11 four piston calipers are a direct bolt-on replacement for the original equipment Kelsey-Hayes calipers on all 1965-67 Ford Mustang, Fairlane, Ranchero, Falcon, Comet, and Mercury Cougar.

Forged billet aluminum bodies, internal fluid crossover, stainless steel pistons, and high-temperature seals put an end to the rust, leaking, bore pitting and seal failures that plague the OE caliper design. These kits feature the D11 calipers, 11.30" diameter one-piece rotors, DOT compliant stainless braided brake lines, and Promatrix performance compound pads. The OEM style one-piece cast iron rotors with integrated hubs simplify installation while providing superb thermal stability and wear resistance. D11 calipers can use factory-style brake pads, and fit in stock location with original brackets and rotors.

Our rotors are machined and fully e-coated, just like the rotor hats. This is a protectant coating the prohibits surface rust from forming on the exposed surfaces. Once the parts are installed and being bedded in, the brake pad friction and caliper pressure will remove the coating at the spot the brake pads touch. This will expose the silver iron material underneath.
