Wilwood 140-16232 Dynapro Single Left Front Aluminum Brake Kit

The Dynapro Single Left Front Sprint & Midget kits are a further evolution of a proven design from Wilwood’s 35+ years of engineering and producing the best open wheel braking systems. Dynapro single calipers have full 2.40 square inches of area for increased clamping force. Kits are offered with either Slotted Titanium or Scalloped Alloy Steel Rotors for high heat or Aluminum rotors for maximizing weight saving on light braking tracks. Kit come complete with caliper, brake pads, caliper mounting brackets, caliper mount bolt kit, rotor and rotor mounting hardware.

The DynaPro Single Lightweight (DPS-LW) billet caliper is the newest generation of calipers available as an upgrade or replacement for applications previously using the Dynalite Single (DLS) series. DPS-LW calipers combine superior strength with performance enhancements to make these the best "Dyna" series calipers ever. Lightweight design insures sufficient clearance in tight situations like Sprint Car front ends.

Calipers are fully CNC machined from premium grade alloy billet. The FEA generated body design incorporates a fortified transition between the piston housings and the bridges. Strengthening this critical area has substantially increased its resistance to deflection and body separation under load. Reductions in overall deflection, and the subsequent decreases in fluid volume displacement, translate to increased clamping efficiency with less pedal travel.

The DPS-LW is loaded with exclusive Wilwood performance enhancements. The calipers feature Quick-E-Clip pad retainers that support a 6812 type brake pad from the top. In addition to fast pad service without caliper removal, this feature provides substantially stronger retention over the single Quick-Clip pin and 7012 type pads used in the previous DLS models

Wilwood's New Type III hard-anodized aluminum rotor finish improves performance and increases life over all other aluminum rotors. Precision CNC machined from high strength billet, full symmetrical machining provides perfect balance, flatness, and the truest rotation of any rotor made. This 10.20” rotor fits the 3 x 5.00" mount bolt circle for Sprint Car and Midget front hubs.

Wilwood's specifically engineered drilled pattern for each rotor, along with Type III hard-anodized aluminum, combines the greatest weight reduction with the highest resistance to thermal distortion. This design's low knock-back characteristics give lap after lap of smooth engagement and a consistent full pedal. For best results, use PolyMatrix Q compound brake pads with these rotors.
