Wilwood 140-13344-D DP-DB Front Disc Brake Kit, 1965-70 Ford/Mercury

DP-DB Big Brake Front Hub Kits provide the added advantage of larger diameter brake rotors for traditional non-ABS spindles on American muscle cars and vintage rods. Forged billet Dynapro Dust Boot calipers, 12.19" diameter rotors, and high performance Wilwood brake pads generate big brake stopping power. These kits were developed for applications or locations that require or prefer a dust-booted piston. Dust-booted aluminum pistons provide added protection against road or track born dirt and debris on low to intermediate temperature range applications that may also operate in harsh environments. A full range of options for caliper finish and rotor design provide custom builders with the ability to personalize the style and performance requirements of the mildest to the wildest machines.

Our rotors are machined and fully e-coated, just like the rotor hats. This is a protectant coating the prohibits surface rust from forming on the exposed surfaces. Once the parts are installed and being bedded in, the brake pad friction and caliper pressure will remove the coating at the spot the brake pads touch. This will expose the silver iron material underneath.
