Wilwood 140-12922 Details

Wilwood's new FDLI Pro-Series Front 1 Piece Hub and Rotor Kits for Ford vehicles (including Thunderbird) from 1954 to 1956, offer disc brake upgrade solutions for OEM Drum spindles. A completely new kit design, featuring an 11.28" x 1.00" rotor and hub assembly. Based on the venerable forged billet Dynalite caliper, these versatile kits are easily optioned to suit the braking requirements and style preferences for a daily driver or the most discriminating show enthusiast. Intended vehicle applications require no modifications for installation, and provide plenty of clearance inside popular 15" wheels. FDLI 1 piece kits can be used with either manual or power boost master cylinders. Kits come complete with calipers, rotors and, hub assembly, brackets, hardware and line kit.

Our rotors are machined and fully e-coated, just like the rotor hats. This is a protectant coating the prohibits surface rust from forming on the exposed surfaces. Once the parts are installed and being bedded in, the brake pad friction and caliper pressure will remove the coating at the spot the brake pads touch. This will expose the silver iron material underneath.

Had to remove the bolts in the caliper brackets and add another washers to clear the rotors,and the grease seals I received are garbage,I went through 2 sets,never had a problem putting in seals before,these are acting too large to fit in rotor, trying to find out why.the seal warps badly when installed, can't be right! Anyone else had this issue? Quality kit otherwise.

The bracket that bolts on the spindle has two pieces it was assembled in the factory with 2 bolts had to be removed an extra washer put in for clearance other than that it was a easy install didn't take long at all works great all so there was for Allen head bolts holding the caliper together one wasn't bolted tight removed and reassembled
