Wilwood's new FDL Pro-Series Front 1 Piece Hub and Rotor Kits for Buick vehicles 1941 to 1956, offer disc brake upgrade solutions for OEM Drum spindles. A completely new kit design, featuring a large 11.88" x 1.29" rotor with a 5 x 5" bolt circle pattern and hub assembly . Based on the venerable forged billet Dynalite caliper, these versatile kits are easily optioned to suit the braking requirements and style preferences for a daily driver or the most discriminating show enthusiast. Intended vehicle applications require no modifications for installation, and provide plenty of clearance inside popular 15" wheels. FDL 1 piece kits can be used with either manual or power boost master cylinders. Kits are complete with calipers, rotors and, hub assembly brackets and hardware. Requires purchase of additional brake line kit shown below.

After researching the installation instruction I found out that I was not happy with the modification required to my original master cylinder check valve along with requiring additional valve to make these brakes work properly. After further research I found a forum online that showed that another guy had bought the same kit for the same car as mine and the brackets would not work. At that point I gave up on the disc brake conversion and decided to rebuild my stock brakes. If there was further investigation done on the fitment on the 51 Buick Super it might save the next customer the grief of returning the wrong part. Customer service worked great with me on my return, and I will remain a Speedway Motors customer for that reason. Bob K.
