Overall Assessment

Customers appreciate the product's solid build and practicality. Many praise its time-saving feature due to being able to modify the mount to fit various steering shaft angles, such as those in the Corvair. Its heavy-duty steel construction endures use, and the quality of the welds enhances its endurance and stability. It has also succeeded in resolving steering problems, demonstrating its effectiveness. Although the bracket may require some adjustment for certain applications, it is particularly appreciated for its role in speeding up project completion. A few users faced issues with hole alignment and found it slightly pricey. However, overall, the product stands out for its quality, functionality, and adaptability.

I had to modify the mount to achieve the steering shaft angle I wanted. I had to make a stand off perch for the frame as well. It is a well built piece and it saved me a lot of time, especially given the weird angle of the corvair steering box mounting.

While I had to trim the height a little for my application it is well fabricated with heavy steel. Welds were good. My corvair reverse steering box fit perfect. Nice Piece!

I bought this mount with my Corvair steering box. Both I got from Speedway Motors along with many other parts. First I started to install the steering box on the mount only to find that only 2 of the 3 holes lined up. Despite the steering box mount holes being drilled larger than the 3/8" bolt being used to mount the box. Next I test fitted this mount on my Model A frame only to find that it is notched way to much and was off by 5 inches from the steering shaft hole in the firewall on a 1929Model A...! Also thought that $80 was very expensive for just 2 pieces of metal tig welded together especially since nothing lines up!
