Speedway Motors 91031445 Details
These high-tech Corvette-style master cylinders were designed using OE specifications and 100% tested. They have a 1" bore and are suited for disc/drum combinations. Each master cylinder is ported on both the left and right sides, allowing for installation in many different applications. This exclusive design features a mating flange that works with applications requiring 3-1/8” through 3-3/8” bolt patterns. These master cylinders will work with manual or power brake systems and can be quickly changed with the included adapter pin to plug the deep well. The wide body and low profile gives this master cylinder the clearance you need when installing in tight areas and yet it maintains a large volume of fluid necessary for 2 and 4 wheel disc brake applications.

- Mount spacing is 3-3/8", accommodates 3-1/8" applications

This item definitely gets the job done!
Actually tried a few different master cylinders and this is the one that worked the best for my setup. I did a brake conversion on my 65 Impala and got the stopping power I needed and the brake pedal feel I wanted.

In less than a year I've had to buy 2 of these items, the mechanic said the first Master Cylinder was not functioning properly so I had to buy a second one, I don't even know if the first one is under warranty

what resevoir should be used for front disc brakes

I've installed the master cylinder after bench bleeding, vacuum bled the entire system until no air bubbles were visible. Have no brake pressure at all. Re-bled the system still no pedal. Second bleed found no air in the system. Discs & rear drums power boosted.

Bought this to go with my front disc brake conversion for my 1958 Ford f100. How do you recommend to mount this to the firewall being that the original master cylinder had a 4 bolt pattern to attach to the firewall and this master cylinder has a 2 bold pattern. Thanks!

We have a 1967 Ford Galaxie 500 390 Fastback. Currently has Drum Brakes Front and Drum Brakes Rear, with Manual Brakes. We are swapping in front spindles with Disc Brakes from a 1978 Ford Thunderbird, so we will have Drums on Rear and Disc on Front, and staying with Manual Brakes. We will be installing a Proportioning Valve inline to the Rear Drums. So my question is, will this Universal Master Cylinder Part # 91031445 work in our application? And are there any other suggested parts that may be required? Thanks!
