Overall length from end to shaft to top of handle is 3-15/16". The length of the shaft is 2-1/8" from base to end of shaft. Shaft is square and threaded for 1-1/4" from end.

Was replacing the old one but shaft was 1/4" to short to but but on inside to hold in place.

nothing to brag about
Disapointing. I would prefer Stainless and would be willing to pay a premium for it. Instead I got this cast piece that broke as I was driving down the street. Caused paint damage which is unexcusable! Keep your chromed pot metal and manufacture a product that is of sound quality - I dare you.
