Product Summary

43-Piece Quantity Included, Manganese Phosphate

  • Tight Fit with Fasteners – In order to create a reliable, tight fit with fasteners, our L-keys are slightly larger in size with narrower tolerances than most competitors that follow the ASME standards
  • Two Measures of Tolerance Control – We measure our hex key tolerances from point-to-point and side-to-side to ensure the highest standards of dimensional accuracy and consistency
  • 8660 Steel – We make our L-keys with 8660 nickel chromium molybdenum steel that's heat-treated to 54–58 HRC to produce tools that are hard, but not brittle
  • Corrosion-Resistant Finish – We coat all of our keys with a durable manganese phosphate finish that's resistant to corrosion
  • Clear Markings – With the exception of the smallest sizes, Tekton L-key sizes are marked in two ways: with a high-visibility laser marking and a stamped marking

Flat End Hex L-Key Set with Holders and Racks, 43-Piece (0.050-3/4 in., 1.3-19 mm)

The Tekton 43-Piece Flat End Hex L-Key Set includes 0.050–3/4 inch and 1.3–19 mm flat end hex L-keys with holders and racks. The smaller flat end keys are made from 8660 nickel chromium molybdenum steel that's heat-treated to 54–58 HRC and the larger flat end keys are made from 6150 chromium vanadium steel that's heat-treated to 44–50 HRC. All of the keys are coated with a durable manganese phosphate finish that's resistant to corrosion. With the exception of the smallest sizes, Tekton L-keys are marked in two ways—both with a high-visibility laser marking and a stamped marking (the 0.050 in. and 1.3 mm keys are too small to laser mark and the 0.050 in., 1/16 in., 5/64 in., 1.3 mm, 1.5 mm, and 2 mm keys are too small to stamp). The durable hex key holders have self-aligning key slots that allow keys to be removed and inserted without moving others out of the way, and the steel hex key racks have hex-shaped slots that allow larger keys to be taken in and out without resistance.
