This switch coud be better for this apllication

Neither Tanks, Inc or Speedway really understand this switch like they need to. Here is what I found on my own; The install instructions are not complete enough to make it clear on how to install and use. They only talk about the switch energizing the cutover solenoid to select the aux tank or turning it off to select the main tank. There is more to it than that because this is a three position switch. The switch is marked with an On position to the left, an Off position in the middle, and another On position to the right. This is what each position does in my testing; The left On position deactivates power to the cutover valve (selecting fuel from the main tank) and selects the sending unit to the main tank for the gas gauge. The middle Off position also deactivates power to the cutover valve thus selecting fuel from the main tank but it does not connect either fuel sending unit to the gas gauge. So you are using gas from the main tank with no indication of fuel level. The right On position activates power to the cutover valve (selecting gas from the aux tank) and selects the sending unit to the aux tank for the gas gauge. Hopefully this will help you during your install.
