Great Mounting cup but be careful !!!
This is a Great mounting cup for tachs but it will not Work for Stewart Warner Tachs , so if you have a Stewart Warner tach this is not for you . I Modified mine to make it work by using a 21/4" punch and die on the back side then carefully sawing down the studs a little on the tach and it works out Great for me The reason I gave it Five stars is that it is a Good Mounting cup for other brands an not to let one Brand make it Bad for others . the contacts touch the back of the cup on the SW is the main reason and the last thing you need is for your tach to short out other than that im pleased with my purchase . Thanks

The contacts at the rear of the Stewart Warner tach are to long to fit the supplied mounting cup as they are too long.

I purchased a speedometer from another place and spent hours trying to come up with a way to ,mount it thinking somebody has to make a bracket, then I found it on Speedway site. I needed this to fit a 3 3/4" tachometer gauge where the supplied plastic mount broke off. With some tin snips and a file I extended the slot on the bottom to widen the cup and accept the gauge. It is not perfect, but I could not find a large enough cup. I'd do it again if I had to.

Although it is really too large for a 3 1/8" tach I was able to add some rubber weather stripping around the tach body to make up for the required diameter.
