Bleeding a hydraulic system with the stock 97+ GM T56 bleeder isn't something to look forward to.  Crawling under the car and trying to keep brake fluid off new paint is nearly impossible!  This bleeder kit replaces the bleeder screw on your LS1 F-Body, 04-06 Pontiac GTO, or C5 Corvette throwout bearing, and allows you to remotely bleed the system away from the tight quarters of the transmission tunnel.

Our lines range from 6-48" allowing you to select the length that will work best for your project. Part number 910-31309 can be used as a bracket to attach the end of the bleeder hose to a firewall or floor pan.

Fits T-56 throwout bearings off the following applications:

  • 98-02 LS1 F-Body
  • 97-04 C5 Corvette
  • 04-06 Pontiac GTO

Best bang for your buck

I have this on My Gm application T56 and mounted to the trans itself with a small aluminum tab that I fabricated, I purchased the smallest length 8" I believe perfect for attaching to the trans, 10" would work as well. I will say this as nicely as possible. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND INSTALL THIS WITH TRANS OUT OF CAR. I struggled for quite a bit of time to get this installed while it was in car, I didn't have much room to work and had to make custom tools to tighten the fittings while in car. No complaints other than bleeder hole could be a little larger. I like how easy it is to bleed the clutch now.

Works so far, but I have reservations

Well, this thing seems to work for now, in that I am able to bleed GM's lousy slave cylinder design on the C5 Corvette. However, I have serious reservations regarding the design on this remote bleeder. The hose is crimped to a 3AN female fitting. This fitting gets screwed to a 3AN male/10mm male adapter. The 10mm end gets threaded into the slave cylinder in place of the stock bleeder screw. Unfortunately, the length of the 3AN/10mm adapter, plus the 3AN female fitting, plus the crimp is--IMO--too long. This length causes the hose to bend against the transmission tunnel. I'm not sanguine about the longevity of this situation. A far better design would be to use a 10mm banjo bolt, through a 45º banjo fitting (like the Russell R4055C) into the slave. The 3AN hose could then be threaded onto the banjo fitting. I think it would only add $5 to the cost of the kit and be far superior, at least for C5s--can't say about the F-body or GTO.

Worked out great for a 66 Chevelle LS / T56 swap. Used the 12" bleeder and made a plate that attached it to the side of the trans to mount the valve.
