Overall Assessment

Customers found the fuel tank to be of high quality and well-built, commending its excellent welding, strong material, and aesthetical features. It was praised for its practical application, fitting in multiple models of cars including vintage types like the 29 roadster and a 1929 Ford Model A coupe. Users noted that it functioned well after installation and highlighted its good fuel capacity, enabling more miles of travel. Some customization was required for specific uses, but users found solutions to these minor drawbacks. A few users pointed to an issue with the filler cap and fuel gauge, but these did not overshadow the tank's overall performance and value for price. Many customers recommended the tank for its superior qualities.

nicely made product with useful features

Tank fits great in the trunk of my 32 three window coupe leaving good space for a battery. Nice fuel pickup and sending unit features and easy to fill. Support brackets were easily made for trunk mounting.

Deceptive Picture and poor customer service

The ad picture shows the fuel gauge and filler neck installed In fact, they are not. No way an adult can get their hand through the filler neck hole to install the nuts. I had to reverse the coller, have a kid insert it which was a challenge, then hold it in place while I tightened the screws. I called customer service whom connected me with the "expert". He told me to use sheet metal screws instead. If this was their plan, why not send them instead of bolts and nuts? Similarly the filler neck bolts must be inserted from underneath, the nuts installed then tightened with a swivel ratchet bent at ninty degree used to hold the bolt head. At least this is the only way I could figure this out and I've got fourth years of experience. It was VERY difficult to install these items which are implied to be installed before shipping. Once you accomplish these two tasks, the tank works great.

Worked perfect for my application. Had to change my fuel gauge out. There are two different ohms rated guages and sending units that I am aware off. So know what you need to match the sending unit.
