Return PolicyDont jeopardize your safety with inferior quality steering components. Speedway offers only the finest steering U-joints available. Made by Sweet Manufacturing. These steering universal joints have 3/4 weld-on ends.
Note: GM columns measure slightly less than 1" while IDIDIT and Flaming River columns measure a true 1". DO NOT interchange these u-joints.
Application
STEP 1
Be sure to measure the diameter of the shaft and count the number of splines on the shaft. Some shafts have a blank spot ground on one side. To get the correct number of splines, use a flat edge and cover the blank half of the shaft through the diameter and count the splines on the other half. Multiply that number by 2, thus giving you the total number of splines on the full circumference of the shaft.
STEP 2
Choose which shaft type best suits your application: 3/4" weld on, 3/4" DD or 1" DD.
STEP 3
With these two pieces of information at hand, refer to our chart to find the appropriate part number of the ujoint for your specific application.

Customers have praised the product for its excellent quality, functionality, and affordability. The product is frequently used in complex steering mechanisms namely in Mustangs, Chevy, and custom hot rod trucks. Users have found it useful in steering column connections and conversions, including difficult shaft routing situations. One user even favorably compared the product to a more expensive competitor's, citing better build quality at a third of the cost. Despite some occasional difficulty with adaptation and a couple complaints about loose fits, most customers were satisfied with the product and would repurchase.

They have the right parts for your project
I recently installed the Speedway Mustang II front suspension and steering kit on my 1941 Ford truck. Thanks to your accurate product descriptions, I am able to find what I need to complete the project. A pet peeve of mine is when I see an ad from a competitor for a part I want more information on and click on it, it does not take me directly to that part. I have to try and dig farther to get that information. With Speedway I see a part I am interested in and click on the ad and there it is.

very disapointed
I've built many street stocks. Have occasionally used this company. Delayed two weeks this time because had to return steering joints TWICE for bad quality. This particular project is very special. I will not install bad quality parts.

I was able to solve a difficult shaft routing situation with this part. I plan on buying another to adapt my aftermarket column to my rack and pinion.
