These Sweet 700 Series Sportsman power steering boxes have new quick ratio gear sets in them which significantly speeds up the steering. This steering box features new inner working components with a re-manufactured housing. Fits most 1964-1988 GM passenger cars.
-6 AN hose fittings.
When using a steering quickener, we recommend using a .185 valve steering box. Anything higher will be extremely hard to steer!

Autocross/Rally: While not for the average street car, these boxes work great in SCCA race cars or serious Pro Touring cars.

No complaints. Installed it on an '87 Monte Carlo SS Chassis used for dirt circle track racing. Compared to the stock 14:1 steering box, this steering box used with a 2:1 quickener slowed my steering input significantly providing much better car control. Provides better track feedback through steering wheel with this box than a stock box. Requires a little more effort at the wheel than a stock box but that's to be expected. Best of all, it's a Sweet MFG steering box which translates to racing specific application with the Sweet MFG quality.
Would Recommend
This box is 10 times better then stock! I run a 2:1 quicker!
