Standard Bear Jaw Door Latch Striker Pin
The design of our Universal Bear Jaw latch is like the modern car door latch you would find on any car on the road today. The latch jaws rotate around a fixed door striker bolt or pin to secure the door in the closed position. Our standard size Bear Jaw latches are designed for larger doors of ’40s and ’50s hot rods and as such, require one (per latch) of our standard size car door striker pins.
These door striker pins are constructed of steel for strength and given a Zinc coating for looks and rust prevention. They are designed to thread directly into our standard size cage nut offerings, including our bolt-in version and the weld-in cage nuts found in our Universal Standard Bear Jaw latch kit. We also carry the correct door striker pin for our Slim-Line latches and Mini latches as well if you are using these alternative Bear Jaw latch versions in your hot rod or street rod’s door.
