Overall Assessment

Customers find the Stewart Warner temperature gauge sender to be of high quality, practical, and easily installable. The product is deemed original and is often lauded for its ease of retrofitting onto older items. Enthusiasts especially praise its compatibility with classic rides, like the Cobra and a 1948 flathead Ford. Despite some occasional inaccuracies with temperature readings, users appreciate its durability and define it as a product that 'works for as long as you own the car and then some'. Being straightforward to order, principally if following advice on choosing the correct version, adds to its usability. The sender's quality and overall satisfaction outshadow a negative aspect concerning a reused item.

Stewart Warner sender = Good stuff!

I am more than satisfied with all of the Stewart Warner parts that I've bought. You know that you've bought quality parts that are a breeze to install and you know that they'll work for as long as you own the car and then some.

SW not what they use to be

Installed with a SW 100-240 temp gauge . Temp readings were at 240 with verified engine temp at 180. Tried two different sending units and gauges all read inaccurate . I had to add resistance to the gauge to bring the readings with in 5 degrees. I shouldn't have to do that with a new gauge and sending unit. I would try a 100-280 gauge and sending if you want to use a SW electric temp gauge.

I have purchased several sets of Stewart's gauges thru the years. I'm 75. I'm disappointed in the sender because it is not very accurate, not sure if the sender is bad or the gauge. It reads 10-15 degrees off. Checked it three ways, two inferred guns and another gauge
