Steel brake line tubing needs steel fittings-- this satisfies that need. The threads extend all the way to the mouth of the nut, making it easy to cross-thread. This is a fine thread fitting (3/8-24) and it would be better to have a short non-threaded section at the mouth to help align the fittings and reduce the chance of getting the threads started wrong. Just copy the design of the trusty old AN3 aircraft fitting.
