Overall Assessment

Customers praised the product's high material quality, usability, and reliability, especially for older Ford models, such as the '29 Model A Sedan, '34 Ford Choupe, '33 Vicki, and '32 Chevy. It was also successfully used on a variety of other cars from Rat Rods to a '56 f100 project. These fittings were noted for providing a secure brake line connection, making installations neater, more efficient, and straightforward. Despite a few comments about difficulty sealing against the brass fittings and mild fitting issues, the overall consensus is that these fittings offer superior installation quality. Thus, customers recommend this product due to its functionality and convenient installation.

Much neater installation than tabs

Used these front and back. A step drill worked well to make the necessary holes in the frame. Use cutting oil and keep the drill speed lower than max. For some reason, it's harder than I expected to line up the holes on opposite sides of the frame -- even with compulsively careful measurements.

Make it look neat and clean

I had purchased the complete front axle kit and the Chevy spindle kit and the disc brake kit, which comes with the rubber brake lines for the calipers. I thought that these adapters would make for a nice installation and the catalog made it look easy.. After getting them and sPending several hours trying to figure out how to install them I called Speedway tech. I was informed that these don't work with the included hoses. I would have to adapt them with three fittings because they didn't make a fitting that went from NPT to 3/16 IFF. I was very disappointed and didn't want three inches of fitting hanging along side on the frame so I opted not to use them and just made some brackets myself. Speedway should either make a fitting that adapts this to the included hose, offer a hose that fits or redesign this to work with the hose.

The internal NPT threads on one through the frame fitting were damaged. I tried a different adapter fitting and it still leaked even with a good thread sealer.

What is the exact length? What is the exact length from the end of threads to the base where the shaft and bolt head meet? I ordered the 2-1/4"-2-3/4" before and they stuck out from the frame further than I liked. I'm wondering if I can use these instead.

What adapter will I need to go from the -3 AN male threads to 3/8 -24 IFF that is on the hoses that came with your disc brake kit? I have hoses #617-8568 that came with the disc brake kit I bought. I would like to use the thru frame fittings but cannot seem to find an adapter for the -3 AN that the hoses will screw onto.
