Overall Assessment

Customers commend the product for its excellent quality, perfect fit, and great value. The completeness of the kit, including necessary bolts, tie rods, and trim seals, was greatly appreciated and the kit's assembly was considered easy, even for novices. Users noted high-quality welding and the product's attractive aesthetics. Some negative feedback was related to king pin caps being small and visible welding points. However, customers dealt well with these issues and expressed satisfaction in overall product performance, stating that the product provided a clean look and handled well. Some users wished they purchased the chrome version for its appearance. The product is recommended for vehicles under 2500 pounds.

Dropped front axle

It arrived and all the parts were there, The box could have been tougher as the axle the was sticking out of one side. Checked it and it looked ok. Shipping was fast, all the other parts were in seperate boxes inside with the axle in bigger box. The welds are top notch and look good. Qaulity Looking product.

read me please

The axle looks great and is well constructed. It took me a few weeks to dodge weather and get it painted and ready to assemble. I took spindles off my 53 Chevy truck and kingpinned them right to the new axle.I was pleased until I stepped back and took a look. The rotor was at an extreme angle. 80 degrees to be exact. I thought maybe I assembled it upside down but nope that only made the angle worse. So I called tech support and they were very friendly and helpful in telling me that their 49-54 axles had been redesigned to run with THEIR aftermarket spindles and would not work with stock spindles. The tech guy told me to take it to a front end shop and have them bend the axle to give me the correct ride angle for my stock 53 spindles. My confusion about all of it is if you order an axle for a 49-54 chevy and then have to order aftermarket spindles to fit it what about this setup is a 49-54? wouldnt it now be a 2015 model? This being said the spindles advertised for a 59-54 truck couldnt be used on a true 49-54 stock axle. Since the tech guy explained how they have been redesigned at a new angle. So careful about what fits what. This was my very first order and the tech guy says only 1 out of 100 try to use stock spindles and maybe thats true but I have a hard time believing that. I was able to fix my axle being that I am a welder with a little bit of common sense but if I wasnt it would have been more money out of pocket to make something fit something that the magazine plainly says it does. Luckily Im a welder and not a lawyer I suppose.
