This spindle nut kit can be used with Speedway 1949-54 Chevy style (modified) passenger car spindles or OEM 1953-82 GM spindles. Kit includes a pair of castle nuts, washers and cotter pins.

  • Castle Nut: 3/4"-20 (not SAE, which is 16 TPI)
  • Overall Height: 0.505"
  • Height up to the bottom of the castellated notch:  0.276"
  • Wrench size for nut: 1.00"

These dimensions are approximate. Certain brake kits may require removal of some of the nut material to allow for installation of the cotter pin.

This kit worked perfectly on my 1956 Chevy two wheel drive pickup. Good quality and a reasonable price.

These kits work as advertised, however after a few years of use the little tabs on the washers will bend or break off allowing the washer to spin causing a loose wheel bearing condition. I switched to a stock factory washer and have not had any further problems. I am finding that most reviews are made right after sale and not after long-term use, causing the item to look better than it really is. I wanted to give this kit a five star review but can't due to the above problem.
