Speedway Motors 91031306 Details

Brake switch is closed at resting position and is open when the lever is moved.  This switch would need to be mounted so pressure is applied to the switch arm to open the circuit to turn off the brake lights.  When the brake pedal is depressed, the arm is released to close the circuit to turn on the brake lights.  The arm on the switch is spring loaded to return it to the closed postion.  Mounts near your brake pedal and the arm can be bent as needed. 42 amp max rating.

works great

Well made, works great, nothing to leak, and easy to wire into your brake lights. Takes a little thinking to design a mounting bracket for your application. After that, just bend the switch arm to fit your pedal.

Most Liked Negative Review

fragile spotweld where arm connects.

My first one lasted about 600 miles before the weld popped but it was inexpensive so, I just replace as needed. If I were to do it again, I'd opt for a line pressure switch.

Since it's a constantly closed circuit can I use it as a custom 12v disconnect switch to break the 12v going to the torque converter lock up solenoid. If I set it up to break the circuit when I step on the brake pedal. Basically to unlock the converter in 4th gear on a 700R4. Because the floor mounted brake pedal and assist is under the floorboard an there's not enough room for the OEM painless switch to be mounted...
