Better Cooling And No Leaks By Adding Our Cast Aluminum Oil Pan To Your TH350
Dealing with automatic transmissions can be a messy affair. The stock stamped-steel Turbo 350 transmission pan is often the source of leaks and can be easily damaged by road debris. Not to mention, with no factory drain plug you usually end up taking a bath in ATF trying to get the TH350 oil pan unbolted to service your transmission’s fluid change needs. Overall, it is not a pleasant experience. However, you can make working on your TH350 a lot more stress free by upgrading to our cast aluminum finned Turbo 350 transmission pan. By adding a cast aluminum pan to your Turbo 350 transmission you’ll gain additional cooling, a better leak-free sealing solution, and a drain plug for a no mess drain intervals.
Cast Aluminum Transmission Oil Pans Provide Strength and Superior Sealing
The stock steel pan that comes on the typical TH350 3-speed automatic transmission relies on the pan’s gasket surface rail to be flat to provide maximum gasket sealing area. The truth of the matter is that over the years the pan bolts are over-tightened, causing the pan rail to become deformed, which reduces gasket effectiveness, causing leaks. The cast aluminum Turbo 350 pan features thick aluminum construction that does not flex with a precisely machined gasket surface (just like the transmission case it is mating to) for maximum gasket surface area. You won’t be deforming this gasket surface! The pan’s cast construction provides additional transmission case strength as well (which is why you see OEMs moving to cast oil pans).
Keep Your TH350 Transmission Cool With Our Transmission Pan’s Built in Cooling Fins
The biggest enemy of an automatic transmission is heat. Once your TH350 gets too hot, your fluid breaks down and can’t lubricate and protect the internal seals. Most transmission fluid coolers run through your radiator and can only do so much. Adding cooling fins to our cast aluminum TH350 transmission pan provides additional surface area for air cooling, helping to lower the temperature of your transmission fluid and prolong the life of your transmission. A built in drain plug means less mess when it is time to service your TH350 transmission’s fluid during scheduled drain intervals. Lastly, the fully polished finish provides a show ready appearance. Nice finish for a low price
Very nice finish on the aluminum for what it cost. I was impressed and only had to Polish a little to get the shine I wanted. Gasket was good. Had to add some silicone sealant to threads on the drain plug to keep it from seeping but that was expected. I would recommend this product to anyone wanting an inexpensive high quality transmission pan.
