Probably came out of the same factory as K&N top
As far as I can tell this is nearly identical to K&N version at a much more reasonable price. 2 main differences is the filter material is colored red which makes oiling a little more difficult. 2nd one is the the K&N has a circular incut on the top of their version that allows the wing nut to sit down in the top. This one does not have the incut. Not a big deal unless you are real tight on clearance.

I have 2 trans am - brings air thru functional shaker hood scoop from the windshield area- before was only taking air thru the side of air cleaner- now it is taking thru the top too. Very smart- Better price than K and M

I have a 80 Camaro with a create 350, Holley Sniper, the space between the air cleaner and hood required me to use a flat top on the cleaner, that I turn didn't leave a lot of clearance for air , with Speedway air top filter it should improve air flow, I did however need to go to a two inch air filter due to the Speedway top filter isn't flat, as far as performance, can't answer that yet, the snow is melted, but the streets aren't clean. But I'm confident this should help improve air flow.
