I have a 30' model A with a 350 sbc, no hood, no shroud. I had a stainless flex fan and as long as I was going 15+mph, not an issue. In slow/stop and go traffic, the temp would rise. This fan kicks butt. First time I started the car with the new fan, it was on fast idle and I got out of the car to check things out and as soon as I came around the door I could feel the wind from it blowing. I must admit the fan design did cause it to be closer to the radiator which I'm sure helped a bit. Upon returning home from a test drive, I pulled into the car port and let it idle for 5 minutes. 175, no increase in temp. It worked GREAT for me.

Street stock dirt car. Replaced a stock fan with this one to get rid of weight from the clutch and started having overheating issues.

So far the radiator temperature has remained at the 160 to 180 degree range on short hauls. Haven't had the opportunity to travel for any extended miles and over 55 mph. Once the automatic transmission gets repaired and reinstalled we will see how everything works out.
