These Small Block Ford motor stands are light, compact, and priced so low anyone can afford them. When not using the caster wheels, you can even leave the tranny attached.
Add the caster wheel kit # 910-81139 to make it mobile for a long block only i/e less the transmission. When utilizing the caster wheels, please note that the assembly should not include the transmission assembly as this will exceed the total weight that the stands will support.

Good stand, could be a bit thicker metal
These are great if you are in need of bolting up the trans/bellhousing. Like others I had to grind out the top of the mounts to clear the screw in freeze plugs on a Ford Aluminum 302 Racing block. It's not the strongest but OK for working on fitment of clutch, flywheel etc. I have not used it with casters, and it looks like it would be sketchy due to thinner metal. Overall great product, going to get a second one (from Speedway!)

Weak engine stands
I ordered the engine stand and installed it on my 351w. The stand held both my motor and transmission. I later removed my transmission and put the casters on the engine stand so I could move the engine if need be. While moving my engine one day, all of a sudden both stands gave out leaving my engine sitting on the ground. Not pleased as to what just happened I quickly removed the stands and put my engine on a more appropriate stand. I would not recommend putting casters on this type of engine stand.

It is a good alternative to multiple engine stands, not perfect but it doesn't need to be.

It came all scratched up. Wasn't wrapped up. The bag it was supposed to be in was off to the side and the paper that should have been wrapped around the stand wasn't. Also when installing on engine I had to shim between motor mount and stand because it didn't fit right. I have photos but won't allow me to upload.
