You don't have to look any farther for tubular control arms for your Mustang II IFS-equipped hot rod. Our Mustang II control arms are made from full .120 wall, 1" diameter tubing, fixture welded and feature screw-in ball joints and no-squeak rubber bushings. These new generation, no-strut style arms eliminate the strut rod found on stock-style Mustang II IFS systems. The improved, triangulated design provides stability and strength within the arm itself, so you can get rid of that ugly strut rod.
Will work with nearly any stock or aftermarket Mustang II front crossmember (welding is required on most applications). Lower control arm accepts stock-style Mustang II 3-1/2" I.D. front coil springs and shocks.
- Upgrade to a cleaner looking control arm
- Full .120" wall, 1" diameter fixture welding tubing
- Features screw-in ball joints and no-squeak bushings
- Works with nearly any stock or aftermarket crossmember
- Welding may be required on some applications
- Designed to correspond with stock style Mustang II springs and shocks
- Works with Mustang II crossmembers that come without lower A-Arm tabs
- Non-strut rod applications
Check out our 5/8" narrower than stock width lower control arms (91034336) for applications that require a shorter track width. These allow you to tuck the wheels up under the fenders without having to buy expensive special offset wheels.
Why go with tubular control arms? The most obvious reason is the looks. Tubular control arms and strut rods give your hot rod a much cleaner and hi-tech appearance than the stock type do. Another bonus is that the tubular control arms are available in 5/8 " narrower than stock, which helps tuck the wheels up under the fenders without having to buy expensive special offset wheels. When using 5/8 " narrower control arms, 1 " must be removed from each inner tie rod end. Why go with tubular control arms? The most obvious reason is the looks. Customers often compliment the product for its fit, ease of installation, and overall quality. A notable feature is the accuracy of its specifications, complementing its practicality. Despite some concerns related to weld quality, the product is still perceived as valuable, especially when compared to pricier alternatives. The additional support provided by the users to the non-strut lower A arm demonstrates its user-friendly nature. Finally, users spoke highly of its structure and price point, marking it as a repeat purchase and a recommendation to other prospective buyers.

I would buy again
The non strut lower A arm could use additional support. I welded medal between the back side of the A arm and to the frame in addition to the gusset supplied so there would be additional support.

Low Quality
I'm struggling a bit with this review. I would normally return these but I need them to get the car prepped for a show in 2 days. The good: I bought these to replace a pair of older Lower Control Arms from a different manufacturer. They appear to be the right size and shape. Dimensions are pretty much spot on. The bad: The welds are pretty low quality when compared to the ones I'm replacing. They have several peaks that have been ground down. I'm seeing some evidence of poor penetration and contamination. The ugly: One of the bags has obvious blast media pooled in it. The tubular arm is full of excess media. This has penetrated the ball joint, all bolts and the bushings. I'm going to have to replace the ball joint and the bushings, right out of the box from Speedway. It's hard for me to recommend these given the issues. If you're ordering and in a crunch, make sure to have some spare ball joints on hand. Again, they appear to be correct, and they save money over the household name, and they should be serviceable if you want to chance the welds. However, I think I'm sending them back.
