As racer safety has improved so has the amount of gear a racer must wear before latching a single racing harness. Gone are the days of hopping into your race car in a T-shirt and jeans with an open face or half-shell helmet. Today the typical race car driver is wearing fire retardant underwear, a full racing suit, fire retardant gloves, socks, and shoes, a full face helmet (usually with air supply and/or radio), and often some form of head and neck restraint. That’s a lot of racing gear to drag back and forth between your shop and the racetrack.

The standard duffle bag many racers have used over the years slowly ends up stuffed to the seams with gear and usually helmets end up in a separate helmet bag. Knowing what it takes to protect a racer these days, plus the addition of items like visor tear offs, ear plugs, communication gear, head and neck restraints, and even a change of clothes and toiletries for those overnight events, is why we have designed our new Pro Roller Racing Gear Travel Bag. Designed to Carry Everything You Need for A Race Weekend

Generously sized at 35 inches long and 15 inches wide with an overall height of 15 inches, our gear bag’s seven storage compartments total a whopping 7,875 cubic inches of space. That is equivalent to 4-1/2 cubic feet or 129 liters. However you measure it, that’s a lot of room for your racing gear! We start with a rigid bottom framework that features a retractable travel handle with zippered cover, bearing supported wheels, and three plastic glide strips to protect the bag when being pushed or pulled across surfaces like your trailer floor or truck bed.

The main bottom compartment encompasses the bag’s complete length and width at 35 by 15 inches and is 8 inches deep. This compartment has four air vents and features a padded and quilted lining. This is the perfect compartment for your fire suit, fire retardant underwear, socks, gloves, and more. Frankly, you could fit two of everything if you have additional backup gear. The zipper closure features dual slider bodies so you can easily access your gear from either end of the bag or pull the sliders together and use a small luggage lock to secure your gear.

The upper portion of our Pro Roller Racing Gear Travel Bag features a large center compartment measuring 15x18x8 that will easily swallow a pair of helmets and head and neck restraint systems or any other gear you can imagine. This center compartment is flanked by a pair of smaller compartments sized at 15x9x8 that can hold a change of clothes, racing or street shoes, and much more. These three compartments feature a mesh bottom for airflow while the center compartment has additional air vents. These three compartments also feature the same dual slider zipper assemblies as the bottom main compartment for easy access or travel lock security.
