Steel leaf spring lower shock mounting plate. Eases the mounting of rear shocks.
- Accepts 2.5" leaf spring
- Bolt holes are 3-5/8" apart center to center
- Bolt holes are 3-1/8" center to center on flange sides
- Bolt holes are 9/16" I.D.
- Single shock boss

Does the job
Fit a Mopar 8 3/4 under a '74 b body. The shocks mount very close to factory location. Two problems were the u bolt holes are drilled for 9/16" and stock u bolts are 1/2", so I needed to find the right washers, and the stock lower shock bushings were to big to fit properly. To remedy this I pressed out the steel sleeves from the original upper shock bushings. I used those , the washers , and a 1/2 bolt to install it. I cannot comment on the durability of the part as of yet.

I would not buy this product again
The shock mounting plates were evidently manufactured by different vendors. The shock mounting bosses were designed different and one mounting plate was anodized gold and the other was anodized silver. They worked fine but now they will have to be powder coated unless I make my 55 chevy a rat rod.

Overall the part is a good quality but if you're trying to use these leaf Spring plates on a stock axle with stock Axel bracket they will not work, ln order to use these leaf spring plates you will need the correct axel plates that speed way offers!

Center hole that goes over leaf spring bolt is too small. Had to drill out so pad would lay flat on spring. I believe it was a 1/2" hole, probably should be 9/16" to make it more universal. Other than that, worked great.
