Another Speedway exclusive -- makes hydraulic release bearing set-up as easy as 1-2-3. We all know what a pain it is to set the clearance on a hydraulic release bearing. With this handy little tool you will take the guess work and drudgery out of it.
Simply hold the tool up to the bellhousing and push the rod in until it touches the pressure plate fingers. Then turn the tool around and place it up to the transmission, and you can check your clearance.
Made of heavy steel construction with a black oxide finish, so this tool won't wear out or break. Numbers are laser etched.
-Does NOT fit T56 transmissions, as the width of the tool is not wide enough.

High quality tool!
I use my release bearing tool on my circle track car. It makes setting up the airspace between the release bearing and the pressure plate a snap. I like it because it is lightweight and easy to read. If I had to say anything at all about the downfalls, I guess it would be that if you accidentally pull the rod out too far you will loose the little o-ring off and end up searching for an hour before you have to go get a new one...but that was my fault.

Should say it does NOT work with modern LS series trans
Does not work eith modern ls1 and t-56 transmissions. Arms on tool are not wide enough. Why don't you make adapter available for t-56 trans and ls1 bell housing?

It is a great idea and made well. If you are using any type of modified adapter plate to bring together a transmission from a different manufacturer it may not be large enough. My adapter plate is one inch thick to put a Tremec T5 on a Volvo bell housing. This would not quite make the reach to be used because of the adapter plate. Still a good quality product that should work for most applications.
