Overall Assessment

Customers were satisfied with the product's quality and usability. The product met their needs, fitting perfectly for certain applications like servicing floater axles and Grand National hubs. Its practicality was praised, as it is a tool that isn't easily found elsewhere. Although there were some concerns about the aluminum material, it was still deemed durable and efficient in use. Despite some findings of occasional tweaks necessary for perfect fit, customers overwhelmingly recommended the product for its superior construction and performance compared to alternatives.

Nice tool, who don't need more tools, right?

I used this to remove the spindle nuts on my Grand National hubs. Tolerances are tight, and nuts need to be in new, or very good condition. Appears to be of high quality. Also, the grease seals on GN hubs are 3.750" diameter and this socket can be used to install them, bonus!

Good fit but worried about wear

This socket works really well. It is deep enough to engage even when the nut is down the threads a fair distance. However, I am not sure that aluminum is the right choice of materials. Perhaps if you are absolutely fastidious in replacing the hub nuts, you will never have a problem, but if the nut has any wear on it, this socket seems to come out on the loosing end. The small, rectangular drive tangs are particularly vulnerable to wear, with the corners being easily rounded off. Overall, this is a good tool and works as advertised, but if you are removing hub nuts on weekly basis, you might want to see if you can find one like it in steel, or buy your hub nuts by the case so you can replace them as soon as they have any marks on them. I'd have given this a 3.5 and maybe for the recommendation if that were available. Since they aren't, I put 3 stars and yes.

Worked for my full floating grand national hub nut. Lightweight aluminum. The purple color makes it easier to locate. As someone stated before, great for installing hub seals.
