Save Time Building Your Custom Brake and Fuel Lines for Your Project

Not every fluid line project can be completed using pre-made bulk hard line, and even if you can, it often requires adapters to change fitting types when moving from one style of brake fitting to another. While functional, using pre-made hard line and an adapter isn’t the most appealing visually. This is especially of concern in highly visual areas like your engine compartment. Crafting a custom hard line of the proper length with the specific tube nut needed for your master cylinder, brake valve, fuel pump, etc. not only cleans things up visually, but lets everyone know you have built a truly custom ride.

Creating the perfect brake, fuel, or transmission line not only requires a quality tube bender but a tube flaring kit that you can trust to make the correct high quality flare on the first try and not waste a bunch of brake or fuel line material. There’s nothing worse than bending up that perfect brake or fuel line only to destroy it using a poor-quality brake line flaring tool. That cheap tool store double flare tool for brake lines, or worse, the brake line flaring tool kit from the local auto parts loan-a-tool program that has missing or damaged tool parts, is not what you want to use when flaring that perfectly bent piece of 3/8-inch stainless steel fuel line! Do it once and do it right by using a quality turret-style brake line flaring tool kit.

Accurate and Precise Line Flaring for Steel, Aluminum, And Other Hard-Line Materials

A turret-style line brake flaring tool kit is a much more robust flaring tool compared to the typical brake line flaring tool you may have used in the past. Its design places the forming dies in a single tool component, making the switch from the first flare to the double flare a quick and easy operation with the included forming handle. Once you’ve used a double flare tool for brake lines like this one, you’ll never go back to the old style 45-degree flaring tool. Simply secure your tubing into the flare forming die via the included T-handle screw clamp and a quick pull of the forming handle creates the first flare. Then simply rotate the turret die to the second stage position for the same size flare being made and pull the handle again to create the double flare. Single flare and bubble flare operations can all be handled with the same turret wheel without breaking down the complete tool, making moving from one size or type of flare to another incredibly easy. The tool accommodates 3/16-, 1/4-, 5/16-, and 3/8-inch tubing sizes. A tubing cutter is included for convenience as well.

Perform Standard 45-Degree Flares for Common Brake, Fuel, And Other Fluid Lines

The most commonly found flare in automotive use is the 45-degree double flare. This is what is used for brake and fuel hard line plumbing on most classic vehicles and what you’ll see for master cylinders, brake valves, fuel pumps, and more. While 45-degree double flares are typically found in your classic hot rods, muscle cars, and pickup trucks, many prefer using AN fittings, hose, and hardline for custom fuel, brake, transmission, and power steering lines. Transitioning from a hard line to a length of AN hose is common when you are connecting a hard line mounted on the body or frame to a component that has vibration, such as the engine or transmission. We offer an optional 37-degree flare turret kit for our turret style double flaring tool set. This instantly converts your standard SAE flare or bubble flare tool into a 37-degree flaring tool to use as a brake or gas line flaring tool.

After using sub-par parts store flaring tools for ~15 years, I finally decided to buy one of these tools. I replaced every single brak line on my Coupe Deville and each flare turned out perfect! The brakes are now bled out with no leaks! I'll be replacing the fuel line next and have run a test flare on the 3/8" line I have and am happy with the results so far. If you plan on flaring your own lines, don't waste your time with the cheap ones from the parts store. Buy this tool. Also, I'll be using a more modern fuel filter that uses o-rings and this tool seems to be capable of making the collar in the line that's required for this fitting too.
