I would recommend this product.

I fit them to my aluminum wheels by grinding down the long lug nuts that hold the wheel and placed the star caps over the hubs and pilot drilled the rims. Then removed the star cap and drilled and tapped the rims with a 4mm tap. Worked out great nice and flush on the rim. So they will work with aluminum rims.

Spider Caps

Unfornatley its one those times when I really feel like I should've spent my money on something else. These backing plates are made very cheaply with super thin metal. So if you tighten enough to keep your wheels from falling off you're probably going to tweak the backing plates out to the point where you can't attach the spider cap. Spend the extra money on some better ones.

Been driving my roadster for 4000 miles, Finally broke down and bought your caps . Mounted them and instantly had vibrations like my tires were out of round . Tryed to rotate the caps and there was a slight reduction but still had the wheel shakes . Removed the caps and I have no more problems. Not a happy customer with the caps.

Installed Spider caps on my Speedway Chrome reverse wheels. Fit perfect, easy install. Have heard others complain about spider caps but these worked out great! Just take your time tightening the lugs nuts gradually and equally when installing.

I used these on chrome reversed wheels and the looks is awesome. The mounting screws should be Allen head not a straight slotted. They are ridiculously small screws that are too small to use a straight bladed screwdriver!

To make these fit I ended up having to drill out the holes with a 1/4 bit. Only two of the holes would line up. After I did that I was able to make them work.

The screws are too short a there is no alignment suggestion or tool to simplify the installation. Chrome quality looks good. Installed on a 1956 Thunderbird.

Well made but hard to put those "tiny" screws in place to lock them down. I mean TINY!
