These filler necks come with a vented cap which vents to the underside of the cap. Weld-in 2.3" O.D. bung. Bung is aluminum.

Bung is 1 1/8" tall without the cap and 1 1/2" tall with the cap.

Using this cap for my bed mounted fuel tank on my 67 GMC hot rod pickup. works great small enough for a small fuel door.

Broke first time i twisted cap back on

I took the cap off, welded in the bung, went to put the cap back on and immediately heard kind of a click/pop and something fall into the tank. The 3 spot welds in the cap pop immediately. I'm glad I hadn't installed the tank and filled it yet. I need to talk to speedway about getting another, but it's been a minute since I had ordered it since I needed the cap during the design process for plasma cutting the tank parts.
