Project Chevelle Fuel System Now in a Kit

You've seen us install the fuel system in our Project Chevelle, well we now have the complete fuel system ready for your project. This kit features a Tanks Inc. full EFI fuel tank with Walbro pump. We have paired it with Earl's Vapor Guard Hoses, fittings, and crimp tool to plumb the system. To keep the fuel clean and at the correct pressure, we have added Aeromotive 10 micron fuel filter and 3-60 PSI adjustable pressure regulator. To round out this kit we have added anti-squeak strap insulators and new strap bolts for the fuel tank, along with a 70 amp relay kit from American Autowire. This kit was designed for your carburetor fed engine, we have included all the fittings to adapt the in-tank pump to your carb fuel system. The benefit of an in-take pump is the elimination of vapor lock as the fuel is constantly under pressure from the tank to the carb. This kit makes it easy to convert to EFI in the future.

EFI Ready Fuel Tank, Factory Fit

This all-inlcusive EFI-ready steel fuel tank from Tanks Inc. takes the headache out of converting your 1970-72 Chevelle to an internal fuel pump. The tank comes complete with a high-flow (255 liters p/hr) in-tank Walbro pump that supports up to 630 hp. Also included are a sending unit (Ohms will match 1970-72 Chevelle factory fuel sending unit), mounting straps, and hose.

The coated galvanized steel Chevelle fuel tank has a 20 gallon capacity, that features EFI-style internal baffling with 4.3 liter internal fuel tray to prevent fuel pump starvation. No modifications are needed to install in your Chevelle, and the tank looks like an OE tank when installed. 

Plumbing for Carb, Ready for EFI

Modern fuels are at war with your fuel system. Modern fuels (more than 40 EPA-approved fuel blends in the US alone) include additives that break down traditional rubber hose. The secret to Earl's Vapor Guard hose is in its layers. The innermost Primary Barrier Layer offers high resistance to heat and aggressive fuels. The middle Earl's Vapor Guard™ Barrier is a Thermoplastic layer that provides superior fuel isolation and virtually eliminates vapors from escaping through the hose. The Exterior Cover Barrier provides extreme tolerance to heat and ozone giving Earl's Vapor Guard a three way shield against hose deterioration.

Aeromotive dual purpose, universal fuel pressure regulator for EFI or carbureted applications. Base fuel pressure is adjustable from 3 to 20 PSI with standard spring(installed), or from 20 to 60 PSI with high pressure spring (included). Also acts as a rising rate fuel pressue regulator which raises pressure on a 1:1 ratio with boost. All ports are 3/8" NPT, with one inlet and three outlets on the main body and one return port on the bottom. Bypass fuel pressure regualtor design provides the ultimate, dynamic fuel pressure control.

The Aeromotive high flow fuel filter is an inexpensive insurance policy to protect your investment. Machined from 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum and anodized for a corrosion resistant show car quality appearance. Ideal for carburetion or fuel injection up to 150psi.
