Return PolicyWhen it comes to circle track racing there are a lot of variables in how your race car reacts to the track surface. Shocks, sway bars, tires, weight placement, and of course power output all play a part in your race car’s handling and traction (both forward bite and side bite). Depending on the class you are racing you may or may not be allowed some “aero” on your body. When it comes to IMCA racing and the SportMod class, and whether you are running under IMCA Northern SportMod rules or Southern SportMod rules, you are allowed to run a rear spoiler. This rear spoiler no doubt helps with rear downforce, affecting your race car’s traction and handling as well. Depending upon series and class and the engine you are running will determine what your rear spoiler height limit will be.
Our IMCA-approved SportMod rear spoilers are made from 0.063" 3003-H14 aluminum with the main spoiler being one piece for strength. The braces, or end plates, are made from the same material, with all three pieces being pre-bent and drilled for assembly and installation to your body using standard 3/16-inch rivets. The 5-inch spoiler shown here is currently the IMCA Northern SportMod rules approved version for when a crate engine is used. The 66-inch long one-piece spoiler features a total height of 5.60-inches, which includes a .50-inch top lip bent at 30 degrees. The bottom of the spoiler utilizes a 1-inch strip, bent at 45 degrees for attaching to your IMCA Sport Mod’s body. The side braces are 14.50 inches in length with a front height of 3 inches that rises to 6 inches at the rear. These side braces include a 1-inch bottom flange at 90 degrees for mounting to your IMCA racing SportMod’s body, along with a 30 degree .50-inch top lip to match the main spoiler. Attachment of the braces to the main spoiler is via three 3/16-inch rivet holes that align with a 90 degree mounting tab on each end of the spoiler. Be ready for the 2025 IMCA Sport Mod racing series with our IMCA racing one-piece rear spoiler kit for your SportMod racer.

Much stronger then the other option. I did make new holes to stand it up higher, but for most tracks the factory holes are probably fine.

I've bought a couple of these and will buy more.

I use this spoiler on budget endurance road race cars. Simple to adapt as long as you have a reasonably flat surface.

Using it on a street driven chevy pick up so the scratches were a big deal, if your using it on a dirt track car probably not a big deal.

This kit was installed on a highly modified, V8 powered 1974 Triumph Spitfire. I shortened the width by cutting off both ends of the main panel with a sabre saw. I made mounting brackets from the cut off ends and reattached them. I trimmed the side plates to better match the style of the car. I have already suggested this kit to several people.

We adapted this spoiler to a super-modified fuel cell. Side plates stayed the same as shipped. Cut off the horizontal fin (the actual spoiler) and then used a finger break to re-bend the tab that fastens it to the side plate

Does this spoiler have a third fin piece offset in the center or is it just the two side fins?
