I used these in a 2.3L with a comp cam kit. My stock followers did not hold up to the pressure of the dual valve springs and the Comp cam kit. After installing the new valve springs and the cam my engine ran really smooth with a much better response but after about 5 minutes of running I started to get a slight tapping sound that kept getting louder as time went by and reving the engine the sound would get worse so after about 15min of run time I shut the engine down and pulled the valve cover just to see a lot of metal floating around on top of my head. Now after replacing the stock followers with these I have a great running engine with no tapping and a really good sounding engine through all the RPM range. Good product and a must have for anyone upgrading to a larger cam and dual Valve springs.

This is the second set and they do not hold up. The first set lasted 2 races before I started having trouble with them. This most recent set lasted 1 race about 20 laps before 1 broke completely in half. I will never buy these again.

can you replace just the followers I know when you put a new camshaft in you put new followers in to so they can became hardenend together.My question is can you just replace the followers without replacing the camshaft when my follower are weared down but the cam is fine.
