Overall Assessment

Customers appreciate this product for its quality construction, excellent fit, and affordability. They have found that it is well constructed with decent welds, and works perfectly for frame builds. Its robustness and straight construction are other highlighted features. A few customers had to make minor adjustments to ensure a perfect fit. While some suggested cleaner welds and pre-welding in certain spots could be beneficial, overall, customers believe it's a good product. It's seen as superior to similar, higher-priced competitors, making it a popular choice among users.

After narrowing my frame to 36" wide this fit up perfectly. The welds could be a little cleaner and a few spots could have been pre-welded. Overall this fits the bill.

Questions & Answers

Is there instructions with this cross member, that tell where to weld on to frame? Does it sit at all the way to end of frame? After removing original spring cross. Also, I see in pics that its welded on top, does this give more clearance to lower rear of car. As a Zed frame would?

Is the reason you have to pinch the frame for this rear cross member to fit, is where the body can be channeled over the frame? I plan on channeling by body four inches and it looks like I would have to cut too much out of sub floor in the rear for the body to pass over the frame.

I've read that this extends the frame at the rear on the Model A frame. How much does it extend from original in comparison? I have a 1930 model A sedan that I am contemplating on either using this rear section and modifying my existing frame rails or just buying speed way frame rails with this rear component. Before I do so I need more info before purchasing parts. I intend to keep the fenders and basically just slamming the car down after new chassis, ford 9 inch rear end and a 351 Windsor motor goes into it. It is still in original position for now. Thanks!

model a frame i'm building a 1931 model a roadster and would like to use this crossmember to replace the stock one but from what i read in your reviews on this idem is that the stock model a frame is 40.5" inches wide at the rear and your crossmember is only 36' inches wide did he do something wrong in using your rear crossmember or is it only 36 inches wide,, tho i did read that you said that i would only have to pinch it a 1/4 inch,,,, can you tell me more about this idem ??? thank you for your time bill
