Overall Assessment

Customers praise the product's quality, usability and ability to successfully perform tasks as described. The tool provides flawless, professional results for tasks such as flaring holes, drilling, and adding finish to metal parts. It's easy to use and requires little effort to operate, while offering great value for money. Many users state they would re-purchase different sizes or recommend it to others. The product outshines competitors based on its efficiency and reliability. Some criticisms include the need for better centering, and a suggestion for the use of a larger fastener for durability.

Work Great

Used these for the visor I made on my '27 T coupe. Already own most holesaws so didn't want to pay more for self-punching models. I had read other comments/questions about centering the die in the hole, but I had zero issues with this. There's a small lip to hold the toll in place in the hole, and I just hand-tightened them until they were snug until I hit them with my impact. Worked great. Holes were already lubed with 3in1 from the drilling step.

No I would not.

Better centering would be nice.

I used this dimple die on 18Gauge sheet metal and it worked great. Good, clean results. I have not done multiple Dimples yet so cannot speak to its durability.

I was building a simple cover for the aluminum radiator (also a Speedway product) in my 94 Silverado. I wanted to add the dimple effect in order to match the engine covers on the 5.3 LS.

The holes I already drilled about between sizes (my holes are a bit over 1 5/16"). Will the 1 1/4" die work or would I need to go up to 1 1/2" and increase the holes I drilled ( which won't be easy since I don't have a 1 1/2" step drill bit) .

Since the through-bolt doesn't appear to use a matching nut, then one side of the die must have an internal thread. If this is so, how do you retain that side of the die without damaging it?
