Overall Assessment

Customers affirm that our product excels in essential features such as usability, material quality and safety. The fasteners have been effectively used on drag cars, dune buggies, and engine covers, proving their versatility and practicality. The fasteners are easy to install and secure well when aligned correctly, outperforming aluminum alternatives. Despite some slight changes in quality over time, they still function as intended. However, a careful installation is required for optimal usage. Most customers would purchase again, highlighting its superiority to competitor products.

worked as pormised

just like most quarter turn fasteners - they work when everything is lined up well. I did have one get a little wonky on assembly. When I tried to force it, it bent the jaws of the fastener (which I would rather have than just having the jaws break off like the aluminum ones). I was able to tweak everything and all my panels are fitting nicely and the fasteners work like a champ.

Quality has gone down

I bought the same part number a few years ago and they were tough and heavy duty. These fasteners are cheap compared to the original ones. If the retaining spring is not close enough the fastener will spread open and get stuck. Trying to squeeze it back in place with pliers will just break the fastener and you have to start over. Don't get me wrong the product works to it's intended purpose its just not as good as the older ones.
