Do you know the length of the 3.5" section? I'd like to check to overall installed length. Also, how are these best installed, direct welding or through some sort of tab and bolt setup? Thanks in advance.

Im looking to place these mufflers in front of my x pipe on my foxbody. Would these work something like short resonators or lower exhause tone and raspiness a bit? Would the shorter 8in 91783030 muffler be a better choice? Thank you. These mufflers will be used in conjunction with larger 14x8 magnaflow mufflers Behind the xpipe.
