Knowing the difference
Recently purchased these boots for my 1951 F1, which has power rack and pinion. Speedway clearly states that they were for non-power units. The phone rep pointed this out but didn't know what the difference between power and non-power boots was and neither did I. I figured it wasn't a big deal so ordered them anyway. I now know that power units are larger in diameter than non-power, not by much but enough to matter. I couldn't get them to fit until after soaking them in boiling water to soften and expand the rubber. After that they worked out fine and I happy with my purchase.

I have a '35 Plymouth with what I think is a 1974 - 1978 Mustang II manual rack & pinion. I'm looking for inner tie rod boots and am having trouble. The ones I removed are about 7" length, 2 1/4 & 1/2 diameter openings. These are close, but I'm not sure they will fit. Can you help?
